One style does not fit all, so Toni will ensure you have the right tools for your animal’s particular needs.

There are many myths surrounding noise phobia like you shouldn’t comfort a scared dog; also, tons of products claiming to be the wonder cure, but with any fear-based issue the individual needs to be taken into consideration.

One thing is for sure, a multi-tool approach is needed – with Tellington TTouch Training as the central core; trying one thing at a time is not going to work for the fearful dog but a combination of four or five might.

This course will give you more of an understanding of why your dog is scared and useful tips to other things you need to think about and put in pace for noise phobic dogs.

Developed by Kathy Cascade, this course will present an effective and positive approach to working with dogs who exhibit difficult behavior issues such as extreme fearfulness, anxiety, reactivity to other dogs or people, noise phobias, and hyper-arousal.

Tellington TTouch offers us many tools and creative exercises designed to help dogs reduce tension and arousal while building confidence and coping skills.   The goal is to give the dog a new experience of feeling safe, calm, and in control while in a challenging environment or in the presence of other dogs or people, which previously would have elicited a fearful response.

The course consists of three lessons.  A short quiz will follow each lesson to enhance your learning and provide feedback.  Each lesson will also include a homework assignment.  Typically, homework will be submitted in the form of pictures or video clips of you demonstrating a particular skill or technique taught in the lesson.

This course is available in two formats.  One provides you with the information for your own learning and the other counts towards continuing education and includes at 20 minute feedback session with Kathy.

*Students who are not familiar with TTouch techniques may want to do this course in conjunction with “Intro to the Tellington TTouch for Dogs“.

For over 45 years the Tellington TTouch® Method has been changing the way humans and horses interact.  Many of the ideas that were considered “weird” and “unorthodox” in the beginning are today considered mainstream and have been  readily absorbed into equine culture.

Among these previously “radical” ideas is the acknowledgement of the inter-connectivity between physical, mental, and emotional balance in all beings.  Considering behavioral issues in a “wholistic” way allows one to develop and use  tools that get to the root of an issue, and actually resolve the cause, rather than just address the symptom.

The “Body Wraps” have become an integral piece of the Tellington TTouch Method, complementing the bodywork and the groundwork exercises in a way that integrates the external information  into the horse’s body at the cellular level.  Their gentle, non-invasive, non-restrictive nature passively increase the horse’s body-awareness while in motion or standing still.

The changes in postural habits, tension patterns, and functionality can result in unbelievable improvements in a horse’s self-confidence, self-control, balance, and overall coordination.  Perhaps the most amazing thing about the “Body Wraps” is their long lasting effect.  Even when taken off the body,  the change is often maintained.

Horses who have only worn the wraps a handful of times often continue to benefit from their effects without regular re-application.

In this easy to follow, information filled course you will learn how simple and effective it can be to add TTouch Body Wraps to your current program.
